Local Attractions
Sweetwood is located in Williamstown, Massachusetts, a quintessential college town.

It faces Mt. Greylock and the "Hopper," considered by many to be the finest part of the Berkshires. Looking north to Vermont there is the spectacular panorama of the Green Mountains and the Pownal valley. To the south and west stretches the imposing Taconic range.

There is a rural quality of life in the surrounding Berkshires that is complemented by the lively and sophisticated cultural environment of nearby Williams College. We collaborate closely with the College and are welcome to enjoy their rich variety of programs. There are lectures, forums, the arts programs, athletic events and classes to monitor.

In addition to the varied programs Williams offers, there is the hustle and bustle of students and the inevitable energy and enthusiasm of college life. All of which keep you thinking young.
The world-renowned Williamstown Theatre Festival and Clark Art Institute are also located right here in Williamstown. The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) is just a few miles to the east in North Adams. Tanglewood and the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival are just a short drive away.

That’s not to mention the innumerable events that fill our lives in the Berkshires – jazz festivals, antiques shows, craft fairs, cultural events and much more.
